Three Keys To Success

Three men from Lawrence placed 1, 2, 3 in the Decathlon at the Olympic Trials. KU's Clyde Coffman (above) placed 3rd, Wilson Charles from Haskell University placed 2nd, and KU great James Bausch won first. Bausch would go on to win the gold medal at the 1932 Summer Olympics. Pete Mehringer, Wrestler and Glenn Cunningham also competed in the '32 Olympics.
