In only the second meeting of a nationally ranked No. 1 vs. No. 2 team going to triple overtime, the Jayhawks defeat the OU Sooners in Allen Field House by the score of 109-106. Many were wondering if this was the greatest game ever, until talk of beating Missouri in 2012, where KU came back from a 20 point half-time deficit to defeat MU in their last appearance in Allen Fieldhouse before exiting the Big 12 to join the Southeastern Conference.
Perry Ellis led all Jayhawks with 27 points while OU's Buddy Hield led the Sooners with 46.
